Successful Disputation of Veronika Lesch [02.05.22]
The department congratulates Veronika Lesch for the successful defense of her dissertation at the University of Würzburg.
Junior professor Christian Krupitzer, head of the Department of Food Informatics, and Veronika Lesch have worked together very successfully over the past four years. The collaboration started when Mr. Krupitzer took over the supervision of Ms. Lesch in October 2018. Since then, Mr. Krupitzer has acted as advisor for Ms. Lesch’s thesis. This very successful collaboration has resulted in 6 journal articles (3 are currently under review) and various contributions to scientific conferences. Last year, a paper at the IEEE International Conference on Autonomic Computing and Self-Organizing Systems (ACSOS) received the Best Paper Runner-Up Award. The collaboration now culminates in completing Ms. Lesch's dissertation with a successful disputation with the topic Self-Aware Optimization of Cyber-Physical Systems in Intelligent Transportation and Logistics Systems.
