Department of Food Informatics at the Automation Conference of the Weihenstephan Institute for Cereal Research (WIG)  [19.03.24]

Christian Krupitzer and Elia Henrichs from the Department of Food Informatics presented the department at the Automation Conference of the Weihenstephan Institute for Cereal Research (WIG).

Christian Krupitzer and Elia Henrichs accepted the invitation from the Weihenstephan Institute for Cereal Research (WIG) to speak at the Automation Conference 2024 on March 7th, 2024, on the topic of "Artificial intelligence in the food and baking industry". Jun.-Prof. Dr. Christian Krupitzer kicked off the day with his presentation "What you always wanted to know about AI but were afraid to ask" and gave a detailed overview of the topics of artificial intelligence and machine learning. In his presentation "Using AI to reduce food waste", Elia Henrichs gave an overview of current research projects in the field that are investigating approaches to reducing food waste.
