The Department of Food Informatics has been invited to give a presentation at the event "Intelligent packages - modern packages "show initiative"" at Anuga FoodTec 2022 in Cologne, Germany, on April 29, 2022. As the leading global trade fair, Anuga FoodTec is the most important source of impetus for the international food and beverage industry. The DLG organized the event with Prof. Dr. Markus Schmid (Albstadt-Sigmaringen University of Applied Sciences).

Following the invitation, Elia Henrichs represented the department and gave a presentation on "Real-time Quality Analysis for a Traceable and Sustainable Food Supply". In his talk, Mr. Henrichs presented the research topics of the department, in particular the current work on the traceability of food using real-time data analysis based on machine learning techniques and the integration of digital twins in food processing. The presentation generated a lot of interest from the audience and is currently available on demand via ANUGA FoodTec after free registration. After the session, there was an intensive and stimulating exchange between the lecturers and the audience, for which we are very grateful.
